Mpower Communications Affirms Fourth Quarter Expectations
ROCHESTER, NY - January 4, 2001 - Mpower Communications Corp. (AMEX:MPE), a provider of broadband data, Internet and telephony services to business customers, today announced that the company is affirming its previously published operating expectations for the fourth quarter of 2000.
Mpower Communications President and Chief Executive Officer Rolla P. Huff stated, "The expectations we set for ourselves for the fourth quarter of 2000 were the result of an extensive review of every operational component of our business. Our focus on execution allows us to affirm that we are confident we will meet or outperform the expectations we set for Mpower in late October of 2000."
On October 31, 2000, Mpower stated its fourth quarter 2000 operating expectations consisted of the following metrics:
