Mpower Communications Names Point Person To Accelerate Data Strategy Through Business Portal
Rochester, NY -- April 3, 2000 -- Mpower Communications (Nasdaq:MPWR), a leading provider of broadband data, Internet and telephony services to business customers, today announced the appointment of Daniel J. Blank as Vice President of Corporate Development. In this position, Blank is exclusively focused on creating an online business portal providing Mpower customers with products and services designed to help run their businesses more efficiently and effectively.

Prior to joining Mpower, Blank served nearly seven years at Adams, Harkness & Hill, Inc., most recently as senior vice president and director of Internet Banking. As such, Blank was responsible for generating and executing a wide-range of transactions for the firm's Business-to-Business Internet efforts. The relationships forged in this position should prove vital to his current role, as he works to establish co-marketing agreements and partnerships with respected Internet B-To-B leaders.
Blank earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MBA, magna cum laude, from the Babson Graduate School of Business in Wellesley, MA.
