Mpower Communications Further Strengthens Management Team; Appoints 17-Year Industry Veteran to Launch Northeast Operations
ROCHESTER, NY - May 31, 2000 - Mpower Communications (Nasdaq:MPWR), a leading provider of broadband data, Internet and telephony services to business customers, today announced the appointment of Paul D. Celuch as Northeast Regional President. Celuch is responsible for all regional sales and operations functions in the Northeast region, and will establish Mpower's regional headquarters in Rochester, NY.
Celuch comes to Mpower with more than 17 years of sales and telecommunications experience. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales - North for Intermedia Communications, Inc., the nation's largest competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC). In this position, Celuch was responsible for integrated data and voice sales in the Bell Atlantic, Ameritech and US West territories.

In addition to his tenure at Intermedia, Celuch served nearly four years at Frontier Corporation as executive vice president of sales for the general long distance business segment. He has also held numerous sales management and operations positions with MCI Telecommunications, IBM Corporation and Accel Systems, Inc.
