Can I post a personal home page on Mpower?
If you have Web space provided to you and own a domain name, then yes, you can. If you don't, you can contact your account representative or our customer care center at 888-777-5802. Find out how to register a domain name here.
Can I post a commercial Web page on Mpower?
Yes. Mpower makes no distinction between personal or business use of our services. We urge you to create and post a Web page that supports your business endeavor.
How do I get my page on the Internet with Mpower?
There are two ways to place your Web pages on Mpower's servers. You may use the publish function of the Microsoft® FrontPage® application, or you may simply FTP upload your Web pages.
How do I access my home page from the Web?
If your domain has not yet been transferred to Mpower, your Web page can be found by typing http://home.mpowercom.net/~yourID (insert your Mpower login ID after ~) in your browser. If you use Microsoft® FrontPage®, the application will ensure that the pages you publish are named correctly. If you use FTP to upload your pages, the main page at the top of your page hierarchy must be named "index.html".
How much space do I have for a Web page?
It varies per account. Our basic Web Hosting package comes with 40 MB.
Can I obtain additional space for Web pages?
Please contact your sales representative or customer care at 888-777-5802 for information on getting additional space on Mpower's Web servers.
Does Mpower support Microsoft® FrontPage® extensions?
Yes. Mpower provides compatibility for Microsoft FrontPage extensions and publishing support. You must turn your FrontPage extensions on before you publish. Mpower does not support the Microsoft Active Server Page (ASP) format.
Does Mpower offer Web statistics?
Yes, for domain customers only. Log in to your control panel at www.mpowercom.net/mo and click on Web Area Maintenance. For more information on Mpower's Web Statistics Program, click here.
Does Mpower offer a secure Web server?
If your business requires a secure server, please contact your account representative or Customer Support at 888-777-5802.
Can I run CGI or Perl scripts?
Yes. We provide our Web Hosting customers with a CGI-BIN in their Web directory.

Can I run PHP or Javascripts?
Yes. Mpower supports both PHP and Javascripts.
Is there a limit on Web traffic from my page?

Is there a way for me to back up or restore my website from a Web interface?
Yes. There is now a back up and restore (tar) function within the Mpower File Manager. Log in to Mpower and click on Web Area Maintenance.
